In September 2013, the Tesla Coil went international! This happened on a tv-show named "Het Lichaam van Coppens" ("The Body of Coppens") on the Belgian tv-channel VTM. On the show, the Tesla Coil demonstrated whether it would be safe inside a car during a lightning strike. Next, the host of the show, Staf Coppens, went into the cage of the Tesla Coil in protective clothing to experience 500.000 volts.
